A new acquaintance urged us to visit Shri Shrivatsa Goswami in Vindravan. When I told him about myself, he said “This was no accident! You have come home.” It turns out he is a dear friend of my professors Diana Eck (author of chapter in my Gandhi book) and Harvey Cox.

I was not warned about the monkeys who are famous for stealing eyeglasses off your face. They have developed a symbiotic relationship with bystanders who receive a small fee for recovering them, and in turn reward the monkeys with mango juice
