Yesterday I was interviewed by the @AP. The reporter asked me what I thought about President @realDonaldTrump's tweets & whether I thought he was a racist. I told him that I wanted to be clear—the President is not a racist. 1/3

It all depends on how you define Racism? One definition is that it is a system which believes in racial hierarchy based on white 'superiority'. Very few people believe in that these days, so another definition is anything which is 'racially charged'. What's your definition?

How about: When you believe America is by rights a “white space” where people of color are tolerated as long as they stay in their place, or when you can proclaim yourself “the least racist person in the country” while demonizing non-white “others,” or RTing racist trolls, etc.
