On 3/16/2016 Franziska Jagerstatter died at the age of 100. She supported her husband Franz’s refusal to serve in Hitler’s army, becoming the only Austrian Catholic executed as a conscientious objector. Honoring his conscience, she said, “We helped one another go forth in faith.”
