“James Martin: Essential Writing” has surpassed GK Chesterton in the Modern Spiritual Master Series (#24 out of 65). Why is the Fake Spirituality News ignoring this?
Conversation
While Chesterton is a literary genius, a prophetic writer and stanch defender of Christianity and common sense, Martin is none of those. Martin's books at best are fit to be used one page at a time to substitute for toilet paper to deal with the end at which his ministry excels.

Was it Chesterton who said "They will know you are Christians by your love?" Trying to track that quote.

I can't hold a candle to GKC but I'm grateful for the good news. Thanks to for editing the book and for publishing it. (Btw, my favorite Chesterton books: his biographies of St. Francis of Assisi and of St. Thomas Aquinas.)

In order to surpass GK Chesterton, Martin would have to write things that people love and be doctrinally sound. He may only have one out of two at this point. There's still hope he'll reform his theology into alignment with the faith.

While the workd applauds, the fires underneath are kindled, worse for scandalizer/s than for the fools who follow driven by their appetites.
Have you posted the order of this series? It would be interesting to learn the ones that have garnered the most interest among readers. Even if not all 65, what are the top 10 or 25?

Give the people what they want - comfortable Catholicism. Doesn't prove anything.
