The Catechism says:”The Beatitudes are at the heart of Jesus’ preaching [1716]. The suspect part of the manifesto is not what it includes from the CCC but what it ignores. Apparently, the heart of Jesus’ preaching isn’t important enough.

I’m sorry, but this is no time for the hierarchy to be preaching to the “bride” about doctrine ..... maybe they should be addressing what it means to be a decent “husband”

I have no doubt whatsoever that on the second coming of Jesus he will disown the Catholic institution and most Christian churches and be crucified yet again for doing so. Jesus wept.

Card. Muller: we do not need a manifesto, which would only drive confusion into our church... We Already have The Creed to bring us together!

It's to completely ignore the gospel or the prophets; God's upside down view of humanity & salvation. It's to ignore & consider delusional, women in our faith communities who experience a genuine call to ordained ministry (even in our broken church).

There is absolutely nothing in this that disagrees with the Sermon on the Mount. Why is everyone freaking out about this manifesto? Have you all even read it? It's nothing but a short summary of standard Catholic beliefs.
