Dammit, this made me cry! I work in a public HS and we offer inexpensive “second chance breakfast” with healthy choices as well as weekend backpacks with food for kids to supplement what they have at home. Kids are our most important resource, thank you for seeing that

And thanks to folks like you for seeing it, too! We're so glad to hear that your school does so much to connect kids with the food they need to stay healthy and strong.
Thank YOU, @RobertDowneyJr, for your support and helping #NoKidHungry make sure kids start their day with the healthy breakfast they need to grow and thrive! #poweredbybreakfast
This program, while a good one, interfers with the instructional work day. Students receive less minutes of instructional time because it begins during the start of the day. This program should begin before school starts.
Hi - this is a common concern, but many studies say otherwise! When kids are full, they're more ready to learn and teachers have used breakfast in the classroom time as part of the instructional day for reading, writing, worksheets or other activities!
