YouTube has spent a decade ignoring its responsibilities. Now it's been forced into accountability there are going to be a lot of issues while it scrambles to build the system it should have built along the way. I hope this example will be reversed once Humans can filter.

Their responsibility as a platform is to host all videos, regardless of content, sender or audience, with an exception only for illegal activities, such as child porn. What they are doing now makes them a publisher, which opens them up to lawsuits.

You clearly haven't read their own terms of use, nor understand that they rely on ad $'s. Their responsibility is to host videos which comply with law and don't embarrass or humiliate advertisers. People like Crowder are bad for business. But by all means, go start a competitor.

You delight in it because it impacts those you agree with, but they're wildly inconsistent. If they were to say, demonitize the Young Turks for denying the Armenian genocide, you'd scream bloody murder. You guys are the actual authoritarian fascists, not the actual liberals.

Don't assume to know what I would scream bloody murder about. I don't know Young Turks, but if they break the terms of use and peddle lies they deserve the same treatment. I don't care if it's left or right, facts are facts, abuse is abuse.

Agreed, but the thing that causes the uproar is the double standards in the rate of censorship on one side vs the other WHILE they claim to be as neutral as possible. Of course they’re well within their rights, the gaslighting and dishonesty is what’s wrong

It's just a fact that most of those "conservatives" being banned are preaching hate, violence and intolerance. It's not bias in social media, it's just more extremism in a certain political sphere.

I disagree with your use of most and the quotes around conservatives. I believe that point is upstream

The only "conservatives" I've seen being deplatformed have engaged in systematic abuse of others, or otherwise breached the terms they agreed to abide by. If there are any I'm not aware of, it would make for interesting reading.
