[Thread] As with many other endowed philanthropies, we spend a lot of time thinking about how to use the 5% of assets we spend each year to achieve a greater impact in the world. But what about the other 95%? Or, put another way, what’s an endowment for?

Great work Hania. If you fancy checking out a Zen Master (of the non-Tableau variety), you might like Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh

(1/4) thought. I actually find this a bit chilling. While having fun with an abundance of animal tracking data, drew a perfect map of the British Isles, without any input about the geography of these. On one hand this is fascinating and sparked my interest at

We’re just getting going on our fourth, and final, programme — focusing on adolescent mental health. These are some exploratory projects to help us identify where our work in inner-city London can have its greatest impact. Do please share!

Beautiful! Love the heat map. To my eyes, it reduces the importance of the admin boundaries (which can be misleading in terms of ). It also reminds one irresistibly of the classic, Predator (which is a bonus)

Er… so this is awesome! The chart at the bottom of the viz is superb. I’ve never seen that technique for comparing the degree of association across two geographies, which has important implications for (for reasons that are hard to get into via Twitter)

Great skills Anna. I'd not seen that pattern of high obesity moving east along the river. (Beautifully presented viz too) p.s. loved your Predict the Dream viz at TCE19.

In our programme, we used data on obesity, deprivation and ethnicity to identify where to target our efforts as well as find other areas in the UK we can learn from and share insights with. Check out our latest gallery addition

We know from our work in South London that is a complex issue, but the solutions don’t have to be. This we’ll be sharing some of the ways we’re working to improve children’s health in our place

Hi Dilyana. William Morris said: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful”. Based on that - I’d like a poster of this for my house! The time series data in the tool tips is particularly brilliant.

どうもありがとうございました (Apologies – learning Japanese after an excellent trip to Japan for the Rugby World Cup) Story tab 4 makes it very clear that we’re focusing on the right health issue!

Hi Susan. This is great! I really like the ‘learning from exceptions’ tab. I've been trying to do something similar for a while with varying degrees of failure. Can I check I’m reading the chart correctly – the bottom right are the resistant districts (see image)?
