Word of the day: "tsundoku" - the act or art of acquiring more books than one will ever actually read, such that they gather in stacks & flocks on shelves and floors (Japanese, 積ん読, lit. "pile up-read"). Especially common after Christmas. Share your tsundoku images here...pic.twitter.com/WwASLZXzwc

I learnt how not to collect books. I’ve got several books on it.

Ah, I bought (v. expensive too) @MarieKondo's book on tidying, but I lost it under a pile of books (and, to be honest, some computer hardware and a few bills) for about three months. Found it, but any enthusiasm for 'tidying' diminished to near zero.

The trick to securing teetering piles of books is to have enough to be able to wedge them in firmly against the ceiling. (This is about a quarter of my collection)pic.twitter.com/eAExCuOWJz

Then you decide you HAVE to read the book at the bottom of one of the piles.

There are an awful lot of Billy bookcases out there! 😀 Says he with a 'library' full of them (11). Converted bedroom as kids have flown the nest which contains all my reading matter and my music. Sadly, as my first post school job was as a Library Assistant its all in order...

If they weren't filed alphabetically, I wouldn't find anything! Pictures are all the vinyl that got played most in my youth and pre CD 1984/85. Starts with 10 Years After, 'Ssssh' and ends with U2, Joshua Tree, via Joni, Neil, Van, BobM, Yes, FConvention and the Boss (x3). 😀

My people, my tribe I've found you at last (not allowed to put any more books in the attic -structural considerations) too embarrassed to photograph study: actually struggling to get into it now.
