That's a nothingburger. State and local police often request and recieive FBI's lab assistance, esp. their crack cyber unit, in high profile cases.
This was a high profile case, and politicians normally wont touch them with a 10-foot pole when election season is near. What insurance policy could he have had to have this not only dropped, but sealed? Just a friendship?
They should hit him with the most severe wire fraud charges possible. He made a mockery of Chicago’s justice system because he’s politically connected
