After you're elected you should put in place a plan for your own state. Clearly the federal govt, ( at least under the Trump rule) doesn't care about the people in your state. Maybe he feels they are in the group of "disgusting people" he no longer has to shake hands with now

Get some mobile water purification units, the system the Canadian Forces ROWPU can purify 5,000 litres of water per hour and take under an hour to set up and maybe some mobile generators or at least some reefer trailers so communities can safely store food till power is up
