Behold!! The Headless Muffler Man (at Lugnutz Tire Service in Greensburg. PA) The last time that I saw him, he had a Steelers uniform paint job. He has since returned to the traditional red and blue color scheme but his head, alas, is still somewhere wandering the earth 😎

Life Goal: Find a dude named Marvin -- marry him -- and move to Mars so that I can be "Mrs. Marvin the Martian" 😎 A few snaps from Mars, PA when I passed through last weekend. The ship has a new toned-down paint job. Last time that I was here it had a MidMod "boomerang" motif.

When my Aunt was in the UK a few months ago, I jokingly texted that she should send some fish & chips to me. This month, she's in Alberta, Canada and I just rec'd a care package. 😎

Baby Got Back😎😎 I have been obsessed with the Muffler Man at the Cadet Drive-In in Kittanning, PA since I was about 3 yrs old. It's about 15 minutes from where my grandparents lived and I begged to stop every time we passed it.

It's LUCKY PENNY DAY!! Find a penny pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck...or a communicable disease ... so maybe just appreciate it from afar. My teeny-tiny smashed penny collection.

The Four Seasons Motel/Quentin, PA Post Office Vintage motels and quirky post offices are two of my favorite things. Unfortunately, this place has the most depressing vibe EVER. I think it's where Eeyore, Rudy G, sad clowns, and Victorian orphans get their mail.

I didn't know that the band was getting back together!! Maybe the MAD sandblock & tambourine SKILLZ that I gained in Miss Moyer's kindergarten class will FINALLY pay off!!

A fantastic example of storytelling and graphics working to compliment each other perfectly,

The Empire State Building once symbolized an urban way of working and New York’s resilience. In the pandemic’s second year, that legacy, and the future of the world’s most famous skyscraper, is in doubt. We take you inside the iconic landmark. nyti.ms/39jJKnq

An old Diamond Reo sign! I pulled over and a straight out of Central Casting elderly man popped out to ask me if I needed help. I told him that I was just taking a pic. He looked at me like I waa Cookoo for Cocoa Puffs and said, "Ok, whatever floats your boat" and disappeared.

I spotted this toilet paper endcap display at Staples. As a veteran of writing mostly soulless & joyless ad copy ... I love it when one of my Marketing brothers or sisters get to create smartass content 😎

Big Enough for a Muffler Man!! How great are these 25 wonderfully tacky GIANT milkshakes in Harrisburg, PA? They monopolize an entire block of Restaurant Row parking and they have a lot of people hot under the collar but I LURVE them💞

"Wendyvee's Movie Reference Bathroom Sign of the Week" - at the Mahoning Drive-In (what? You don't think that's a promising category??) Can you name the movie? * also, if we can put billionaires in Space just for kicks ... certainly Scienrists can develop "The. Shells" 😎

So what you are REALLY saying is that my parents weren't lying about my Carnival goldfish going to live on a nice farm upstate?? :)

Given how many had the heinous fate of being plastic-cup or plastic-bag "prizes" at carnivals (and dying days later) over the decades, I don't begrudge some of them living out fat and happy lives in American lakes. twitter.com/NPR/status/141…
