Let's be frank: Moderate Dems now are more aligned with Reagan than they are of JFK. If we don't move the party back to the left, they'll be more aligned with George Bush (Either of them). They're already trying to defend him.
I've been watching the March right since the 80s for sure. Warned friends in 1988 we'd better stop going to the center. Some Dems are further right thsn even Reagan was.
Universal single payer will work in America because of the maximum risk pool. M4AWWI is going to end up with the highest-risk, lowest-income people, and then it will be dangerously underfunded over time because the haves cannot be trusted to advocate for the have-nots.
