This is one of the most compelling arguments against PAYGO made by one of the most respected economic thinkers of our time. We should have listened to him about a larger stimulus in 2008, and we should listen to him now. @paulkrugmanhttps://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/03/opinion/house-democrats-budget-deficit.html …

And when are you debating
@paulkrugman for his view that enhancing Obamacare, not single payer/Medicare for all, is the way to go?https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/07/opinion/healthcare-single-payer-children.html … -
He actually has been open to both. Read some of his recent columns on Medicare for all.
-
So... Are you open to both as well?
-
My votes reflect that. I am for strengthen and enhancing the ACA but ultimately getting Medicare for all.
-
I guess I will rephrase my question. Are you open to, as an end goal, a Dutch style system, which is not single payer but very well regulated private insurance companies with a mandate to get coverage and subsidies? (Basically enhanced Obamacare rather than M4A)

The House can exempt bills it deems necessary from PAYGO
-
It just creates another step that corporate lobbyists/dems can form resistance around.
