@Drew_Hammill perhaps you’d like to debate Krugman on twitter and point out how his view is wrong too?

NOPE. WRONG. THE NEW DEAL was funded by taxing the uber rich and putting that money back into the Economy. This was after the Rich had given themselves a huge pay raise in the 1920's.

I'd go 95 percent just to give them some austerity to scream about for 40-50 years!
-
And 100% on all inheritance over some limit, like $1 Million. There is PLENTY OF MONEY in the US economy to pay ALL the bills. And it's mostly being horded by the uber wealthy. That these new legislators don't know this and avoid learning it is a travesty.

So I’m confused did PayGo pass yet or is that going to wait on another voting day for the house
-
It did Pass, and also the New Tax Cuts took place that Trump did and likely QE was included in Pay Go, which would why Wall Street is in the Positive today, plus there is language where Pay Go does not affect Military Spending.
-
So is it to late to tell certain members of Congress to change their vote on it or are we stuck with it for the time being?
-
We are stuck for the Time being, yet it is a sure fire winner
#Pelosi is just trying to get points from Trump in order to make him and the Upper & High Class happy. -
When does this PayGo thing expire?
-
When it’s repealed, is my understanding.

So basically we are all doomed because of Neoliberalism... What a joke the human race is. I hope the revolution starts before the end because I want revenge.

Just wish he'd leave out the false statement at the end about how expensive Medicare4All will be. As an economist, he must realize that companies would much prefer paying the government directly as we do for Medicare and cutting out the cost to support the private sector.

Krugman is a Clintonite. He was positive Obama's campaign promises on healthcare were impossible, until after the election and then everything Obama did was wonderful. I have a hard time using Krugman as a "go to" when he's so political.

PayGo is a vestige of old ways. At this time, with what faces the planet, we need a radical re-thinking of how we organize our societal systems. Tremendous opportunities to create a more just and habitable world are possible. Without change, we are all doomed.
#JustMeansForAll -
Why did
@RashidaTlaib voted YES on#PayGo -
Strategy comes to mind, changing the system does not occur all at once, it is built upon a string of successive acts.
@RashidaTlaib has made her points, you can read them. Ultimately we should not judge singular acts in a vacuum but be able to sort them within the whole.
