An easy resolution to this crisis would be to hold a national referendum, asking all Americans to vote as to whether they support securing the U.S.-Mexico border and/or building a wall, or not. Whatever the results, the President + government must adhere to the people's will.
Should the Mother Fucking Democrats have the power to hold the basic functioning of our government hostage to their ideology by refusing to negotiate to any position other than their own?
The Democrats have an election behind them. What does Trump have?
The Presidency
What on earth is a “constitutionally moral justification”? There are constitutional justifications and moral justifications.
A moral justification from a constitutional perspective. Nothing new in that.
@RepRoKhanna Unless you are going to change the Constitution those are the rules. Do your sworn duty and protect the American people and Californians! Not a hundred miles from your district there were two murders by illegals caused by lack of border security & sanctuary city laws
This article is not brilliant, it's kinda dumb. As much as I hate Trump, all he's doing is threatening to exercise his veto power, which is *expressly* constitutional.
In the contrary, a bill passed the house that the president would have supported and the democraps failed to support it in senate. I understand the other way around happened as well. But stop trying to avoid the issue of border security deal with it now
Interesting, I've never heard an argument for something being unconstitutional without quoting the constitution.
Have you ever heard an argument grounded in “federalism” or “separation of powers”? Where are those words in the Constitution?
Yes, that makes total sense. Stop paying border patrollers and tsa agents to better protect the country. Seems about as logical as his other ideas
Don't Federal workers have due process rights to their salaries? Don Americans have due process rights to their parks?
The answer s NO. He should NOT have that power. But does he? I don't know
Wonderful piece. Just not sure that 'constitutionally illegitimate' is going to work with this guy. How many constitutionally illegitimate things has he done so far? But by all means, if you can convince Pelosi, impeach him for any one of his numerous high crimes or felonies.
No. It is now congress controlled by you and your democrat friends who are doing it.
These are the same Senators who blocked the appointment of a Supreme Court judge.
I wouldn't call the TSA a basic function of government. It's only been around since 2001, they've failed to detect 95% of prohibited items when tested and should be permanently abolished
