Why are so many of your colleagues refusing to vote NO on #PayGo?

Come on, Rob. You already know the answer to the question. THEY'RE BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY THEIR DONORS.
#DNCisTheDeadParty -
i heard that AOC and Tulsi and Ro voted 'NO" is that true?

Are you beginning to understand that the Schumer-Pelosi "better deal" was never anything more than just a marketing slogan to obscure their real Republican-Lite agenda, this year's "Hope & Change." Send them back to the Republican Party where they belong!

What I don't get is who your caucus thinks is the constituency for this? I don't remember PayGo as being a lynchpin of any Dems campaign in 2018.
-
The teensy-tiny minority of
@TheDemocrats base that shows up at their fancy fundraising dinners where dinner costs more than most families spend on food for a month (i.e. the people they regard as their actual constituents). -
More than most families spend on food in a year! Lol
-
Yeah, I was definitely being conservative. I didn't actually know how much those dinners cost, but I just googled it and apparently a ticket to one HRC fundraiser in 2016 was over $100k. JFC.

Ro - you know that Pelosi is only beholden to her donors. And now it appears that the rest of the “progressive” caucus is as well.
-
Or maybe- NP knows how this shit works better than you do. Maybe she realizes the big things we want aren’t getting passed by this senate or this POTUS. Maybe she wants to get something done in the meantime. Just a thought.
-
I think it’s more likely that she’s beholden to her donors. I’ve been watching these neolibs try to “get things done for the people” for quite awhile. It’s funny that they never manage to accomplish anything that helps the middle class. But you probably know better than I do

-
I know there is such a thing as Republicans & I know they’re much more dispositive than your boogie man donor theory.
-
Neolibs and the GOP are basically the same these days. Please name something good that Democrats have done recently for the middle class? I’ll wait.
-
You mean since they lost control after uneducated, malcontents nincompoops sat out the 2010 midterms? Not a lot. If you want the long list of things before that, u can google. I’m not your tutor. Dems need majorities to pass stuff. FYI.
-
Colleen. I may be a millennial, but I’m not an idiot. I realize how things work. Please don’t blame the voters who sat out the 2010 midterms. Blame the candidates who didn’t feel it necessary to gain their votes. Side note - are you a Hillary fan?
-
when people who didn’t vote whine about their lives they have no one but themselves to blame. “I wasn’t inspired” is not an excuse. Vote for who is less likely to hurt you for that reason, not in hopes they will give you everything. It’s really that simple.
