Every time @realDonaldTrump yells about the caravan, we must in the spirit of our founders respond with simple facts. We are a nation of 325 million. Every year we accept only 20,000 asylum seekers and reject 80 percent who apply. Is that really an “invasion?”
Actually, I think America is exceptional. My point is that Trump is grossly exaggerating how many asylum seekers we accept.

80% are rejected for reasons. We have rules for asylum seekers. 7,000 unknown people waving other countries’ flags, mostly adult men, crossing other borders, headed for the US border. What would you prefer the President call them?
