The point that Democrats should stand up for refugees can be made without rescucitating the credibility of Bill Kristol or any other Iraq War cheerleader.

I was very opposed to the war in Iraq and ran the first anti-Iraq war primary in the country in 2003.

I understand and admire that. As a fellow anti-war activist, I trust you appreciate how damaging it was/is for voices like Kristol’s to be elevated. To say “this man is right” normalizes his perspective, when your overall message is just as salient without doing that.

Ro, the Dems have been playing a xenophobic neo-MyCarthyist red scare against Russia for the past 2 years now, I think its safe to say that beating xenophobia isnt the top of the party's priorities

There's something wrong with your party when Bill Kristol is a relevant name.

America is more than a country beset by borders. America is an idea. We imagine it a beacon of light to shine the way for the world to follow. That light now flickers and fades.

There is a reason Dems don't talk about why they are seeking Asylum; The Clinton's had major roles in destabilizing Honduras. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/04/19/hillary-clintons-dodgy-answers-on-honduras-coup/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.c4aa9f77a1bd … And Guatemala and El Salvador (to be fair, he was trying to clean up Reagan's mess):https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2017/07/20/deporting-people-made-central-americas-gangs-more-deportation-wont-help/?utm_term=.3e4337259771 …

It's almost like the fact that we go around installing dictators, warlords, and drug kingpins in as many countries as possible and are completely shocked when that has negative consequences.https://www.salon.com/2014/03/08/35_countries_the_u_s_has_backed_international_crime_partner/ …

He also said that if Trump’s opponents stand opposed to policing America’s boundaries, they will not help immigrants—they will only lose votes, so yeah, he’s quite far from being a hero.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Thank you, Ro. .
@TheDemocrats .@DNC < When will the Democrats get a clue? Voters are angry and many in Congress will lose their seats going forward. Your cowardice and unwillingness to stand up to Trump is unacceptable. Let's start fresh.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
