Why don't these employers want to pay a fair wage so people can support their families. I don't understand that. Just keeping the poor oppressed. Is that a goal.
-
The only goal of corporations is maximizing profits for their shareholders. Investors would never invest in a company that puts people over profits, because that would hurt their return on investment
-
I read it and can't believe it. The greed is unstable.

It's just gonna trickle down to the consumer. Bezos and his board won't dare sacrifice their fourth Villa.
-
As a consumer I am ok with that why aren't you?
-
Because it's not true equality. Instead of taking away from their excess they are simply passing the buck. You really think these executives and board members we're going to give up the opportunity to buy another vacation house so people can make a living wage?
-
I do not think it would be too far of a stretch to think this has been in the works and was part of the motivation to raise the prime subscription cost recently. Have to make more money to pay more money. Cannot have less profits as that would hurt the stock.
-
Bezos is is obscenely, disgustingly wealthy. He can afford it without raising prices

It dawned on me that Trump is going to take credit for this at some point...if it has an impact on average wage...for example.
-
It should always be assumed that if anything good happens and President Fuckface gets wind of it, he will take credit. It's a moot point now that he has no credibility even among stalwarts of his own party. He's on his way down, the fall is certain, but agonizingly slow
