The concern raised about separation of powers ignores a simple fact: that the President is exercising public health authority under laws enacted by Congress. Since when are we in Congress exempt from the public health laws that we pass?

If the President cannot or will not mandate vaccinations for Members of Congress, then Congressional leadership should do so. Especially on matters of public health, there should not be one standard for Congress and a separate standard for everyone else.

Thank you, Congressman. It's important for elected officials (including ) to lead by example.
That is why people are so skeptical and don't trust the government regarding Covid-19 vaccine.

Good or bad, Senators and Representatives do not work for the President. Each chamber is free to make their own rules

It concerns me that you don't know about separation of powers since you are a congressman.

Members of Congress are federal employees and public servants, elected, appointed or whatever
Why should they be exempt from the mandate, especially when local governments are mandating their employees get vaxxed?
How about the interns & aides? They deserve better
