2) In his letter, the likely attacker (name not yet released) says it took him four weeks to plan the shooting, and claims to have “scorched a mosque in Escondido with gasoline a week after Brenton Tarrant’s sacrifice and they never found shit on me.”

3) The letter also lists those that “inspire” him, including Adolf Hitler and Moon Man, a white supremacist meme character. To that point, the letter stresses the power of Internet to white supremacist community, urging them to “make memes, shitpost”https://ent.siteintelgroup.com/Far-Right-/-Far-Left-Threat/parody-rap-song-shared-on-alternative-social-media-platform-raps-about-exterminating-minorities.html …

4) Today's attack shows how disturbingly momentous extremist violence is. After Christchurch, the far-right was extremely emboldened, calling for others to "Make Brenton Proud." That said, today's shooting appears to be a manifestation of this rhetorichttps://www.thedailybeast.com/new-zealand-shooting-white-supremacists-and-jihadists-feed-off-each-other …

5) The alleged attacker’s disturbing letter is more than just a hateful tirade. It is a product of white nationalist ideology, using specific jargon, points of argument, online meme references, etc. Further proof of how dangerous far-right rhetoric is in inspiring attacks.pic.twitter.com/CCOExqHCUR

6) Police confirm identity of attacker in
#SanDiego as John T. Earnest, the same person referenced in my above tweets.Mostrar este hilo -
7) Worth noting that the attacker wanted other white nationalists to distribute his extremely disturbing manifesto across the Internet. Given the power that such rhetoric has (as I state in my previous tweets above), platforms should do everything possible to keep it offline.

Appreciate if you could not name the Christchurch NZ shooter. We would rather not give him press. Thanks

please stop naming these people. That's exactly what they want... their 5 minute of fame. NZ does it right.. they keep him nameless.. he will be forgotten. And actually everyone should join.

Here in NZ we don’t say his name. Don’t give him any more ‘fame’

In America they fantasize Mass killers and shooters, they love guns, Recently a judge released a white superamacist who was caught with amo planning to kill black folks. Don't expect anything from US.
-
I’m not sure the US will ever change. Their govt would never do what ours did with the gun laws. Nothing but useless thoughts and prayers
-
40000 people died of gun violence in US last year, forget about even banning assault rifles these folks don't even debate about it, Having an AR15 for a 20 year old is considered self defence tool in some second amendment they believe.

Does anyone seriously believe Trump will tone down his inflammatory rhetoric tonight in Green Bay?
-
The shooter was anti- trump, anti white but we will never hear this in main stream media when it doesn’t fit the narrative. Just like we haven’t heard much about Sri Lanka at all because it was radical Islamist extremists and no one wants to offend them

Just a reminder that the 'New Zealand' shooter was raised in Australia and came to New Zealand because it was a soft target.
-
Not "soft target" but softer gun laws. He couldn't buy the guns he needed in Australia so he went to New Zealand where he could obtain legally the instruments he needed to commit a massacre with ease.
-
Indeed. A highly planned massacre. Churches are soft targets though. And now yet another. I am so sad for all people, all faiths, who have suffered. Peace and love.

He denounced Trump, Comservatives and professed his hate for Jews in a manifesto. Did you see that part?
