This...Hmmm I apologise to Lolo often. I do so because I never got apologies when I was a kid. I don't want to be that Parent. It broke me as a child and I refuse to raise my child that way.

Majority of the time, they don’t even mean the things they say. It’s just blurted out in anger. But that doesn’t negate the effect of those words. Especially since childhood - teenage years are the most emotionally/ mentally sensitive stages of a person’s life.

Also, the person who the words are spoken to is then burdened with forgiveness when the speaker could have just weighed their words and only said things they meant or things that weren't grave.
-
Very true. And the person to whom the words were spoken, never asked to be burdened with such.

Jeez! This is deep. May God help you to heal.

I healed a long time ago. I still love her more than anything. Her passing is what I struggle to heal from.

I remember what my older sis said to me 5 years ago.. I was torn to pieces then. I've forgiven her but to forget is hard.. And she often feels uneasy when I extend kindness to her cos she knew she hurt me with those words.. I don't bear grudges but I hardly forget.

Just like how someone called me a prostitute and then proceeded to tell me “but I said sorry now” when I asked for payment before he can sleep with me.

-
Wow!!! And I honestly hate that “But I said sorry now” rubbish that people do.
