Some in New Hampshire have expressed concerns about our new process. That is their right. It is the job of the New Hampshire SoS to do what is best for NH. It is my job to do what is best for Iowa. As the nominating calendar remains in flux, that is what I will continue to do.

That’s why I am so disappointed the Iowa GOP ended decades of bipartisanship this week by dropping a bill dictating how Iowa Democrats hold our own caucuses. No one at IDP was consulted before House Republicans took this misguided and unprecedented step.

I am committed to holding the most inclusive & accessible caucuses ever. We haven’t posted even our next steps for public comment, but folks who work the third shift, people living with a disability & parents of small children should have a voice via mail-in option.

When people ask me for advice to women in the arena, my answer: Be Yourself. You will be underestimated — as I was every day of my 20 years in House leadership — but don’t let that stop you. Know your power: what you bring to the table is unique and special. We need you! -NP

Majority of Iowans oppose Reynolds using vouchers to divert money from our public schools to unaccountable, for-profit private schools. But she said she'll do it again, she primaried her own party to remove opposition, and Iowans voted against their own schools & communities...

What a journey the last year has been. I couldn’t be more blessed. We met so many great people. Expanded our family of friends. Spent time in wonderful Iowa communities. Learned a lot. I’m very proud for what I represented and for who I stepped up for. Thank you, Iowa. 💜

While not every race went the way we hoped it would tonight, I am incredibly proud to be heading to the Iowa State House. When I get there, I'll be one of Iowa's youngest legislators and one of only a handful of Arab-Americans to serve in elected office, nationwide.
