Ah, parents and furry is the theme today? My dad helped me build my first fursuit at 16. His fursona is a silverback gorilla named Thor, he made it himself. He made me promise if I ever GOH a con to take him because he wants to see everyone see me the way he does. I love him.
He asks me every time I call how I'm doing, if I'm making suits, if he can see pictures. He didn't just tolerate my hobby, he got into it with me. He meets other furries wearing tails and proudly goes "I'm Rio's dad" and they get all excited so he talks to them about me.
That is so frickin cute! I'm honestly living for all these furry supportive parents! (I mean, mine are but just not to that extent. They accept it's a hobby that makes me happy and just let me get on with it)
That's really awesome! And freaking adorable. ((My parents don't like the idea of me being a furry, and see Cons & suits as a waste of time and money))
That sucks, I hope they come around someday, but I hope you keep doing what makes you happy anyway!

My dad also helped me build my first fursuit at 12 He then allowed me to destroy his attic so I could use it as studio space when I lived at home. Supportive parents are the best
Man i wish i had parents that just supported literally anything i did instead if ignoring it like "oh thats nice could be better." Or if i didnt get blown off it was "no thats wrong (wanting to be a female car mechanic)/gross (furry)/not allowed (being pan)"
