This is @Right_to_Life's most deceptive statement of all. The cells are not "tissue." Tissue is made of more than cells. These cells have been replicating in culture for 55+ years. It's unlikely that a single protein or DNA molecule from the original tissue remains.https://twitter.com/Right_to_Life/status/1006529874557915136 …
Those cell lines were derived from fetal tissue. Those cells came from the body of an aborted baby. The bill says, "immunizing agent derived from aborted fetal tissue." The creators themselves say they derived it from fetal tissue.

Which is wrong. The immunizing agent ( the virus) was NOT derived from fetal tissue. It was derived from cell lines that were derived from fetal tissue ~55 years ago.

It ultimately was derived from a baby who was aborted. Some people have ethical objections to that, some don't. They deserve to be informed regardless.

J.P. Jacobs et al., “Characteristics of a Human Diploid Cell Designated MRC-5,” Nature 227 (1970): 168. "We have developed another strain of cells, also derived from foetal lung tissue, taken from a 14-week male foetus removed for psychiatric reasons from a 27 year old woman..."
