  Quite simply there should be zero immigration for at least 10 years. A period of population stability is needed. In fact a small reduction in population should be the aim over the next 50 years.

  Labour created an open door policy under Blair and brown, thinking they would be Labour voters for the future. Hasn't worked out like they envisaged because they no longer create new policies, instead they jump on the bandwagon of the latest cause and in turn misread the public
