When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

All of the videos will still show up in your subs feed. As not every sub wanted to receive a proactive notification, we created the bell so viewers had a choice.

The viewer decides if they want notifications when they subscribe to a channel. If anything, revert the subscribe button to its original function, and give users the option to disable notifications..... that doesn’t make sense, you say ? Well, neither does your “solution”.

I agree. Notifications should be on by default! You turn them off if you don’t want to be notified. This would generate the more views than the current system, which is basically worthless.
