The day has finally come (even if it felt like it wouldn’t sometimes)! Lots of re-reading the thesis today in preparation for my viva tomorrow. Strangely looking forward to talking about what I’ve been doing for the last 4 years 🐑🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Just like that, 3 months of my Welsh Gov placement are gone already (how are we almost in May?!). Excited to be continuing with an extension of the placement until July, when I'll go back to PhD life full time 🧪

2 months down already of my placement in the Welsh Government. What a great experience it has been so far and a great insight into civil service life, really recommend a placement for anyone having thoughts about post-PhD life! 🙌

NSA is supporting research by @Rothamsted @TheAHDB and @BristolUni investigating on-farm measurements that are truly useful for effective management decisions on UK sheep farms. To contribute, take 5-10 minutes to complete this survey: surveymonkey.com/r/X5R3RD3 @NSA_Scotland

Day 2 of self isolation and I've already reached the stage of watching a programme about a dog that has a world record in speed scooter-ing.

But first some final N2O measurements in my upland gas sampling plot (mocha in hand ) - I've now been sampling for 4 months here. Much better weather today than I had in December!

It’s not often you can be on a hill in November in Wales wearing only a t-shirt and still be too warm! Productive day today gas sampling and collecting forage samples for analysis to complement GreenFeed data.

A great conference for everyone especially if you are just starting out! Only a few days left to register

A reminder that the deadline for registering with a poster or talk is the 1st of November. Please submit your abstracts to a rep from your University by the 5th of November #WEEN2020

Another day, another morning working with the GreenFeed. The unit is now have it set up with a remote start system on the generator which hopefully solves the lack of power issue (and constant praying for sunshine!) 🌧
