It’s both funny and sad. How does a TV show about a bisexual African American male threaten my heterosexuality? I’m out here rejoicing over an interracial relationship in Star Wars because it’s finally represented on screen in a major way, so I should be glad of this too, no?

We’re growing. Learning. Understanding. This should have happened yesterday. But we’ll get there. I’m glad this will speak to a group of human beings that never really had their story told on screen like this before. I’ll tune in just because. I’m duty-bound to as a human being.
