This is a great step. But powers for handlers and dogs to search persons is needed. Many offers “cheek” their contraband and insert it at first sign of a search. @ONsafety @ONGIA_President

Mr. Nicholls. Your compliment in nice but this is only one small step towards solving the crisis in corrections. EMDC is just one institution.

Yeah I lost my entire life because of a weak union (
@OPSEU) and shitty representation. Corrections is broken but nobody cares except for front line staff. I loved my job & loved my life, now I have neitherThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Mr. Nichols, the Minister of MCSCS has been contacted numerous times by sergeants at TSDC requesting a meeting to discuss some pretty serious allegations of corruption.
@MichaelTibollo has ignored every email. Extremely disappointing - the alternative is the media & the policeThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Pretty sure these canines are not trained in finding opioids. Not much good if they are only sniffing out weed! Inmates are not overdosing on weed!!!

Why didn’t you announce the K9 was removed from SWDC and sent to EMDC?

I hope that this will lead to expansion of the ministry's K9 program to service all institutions better and not simply forcing the teams to move around more often causing both dogs and handlers to become over worked.
