  4. The virus has evolved so far away from the vaccine strain that current vaccines do very little to prevent infection. And yes, preventing infection is an important part of saving lives. It’s (way past) time to update COVID vaccines. The technology is available. People are dying.

  5. Omicron was never mild. Still isn’t mild. We won’t know the full health consequence for years to come. The best tool we have today to prevent infection is a properly worn, high quality mask.

  6. Yes, there is now a menu of tools…but they are far far far from readily available and easily accessible for all. Messaging around who needs them, how to get them & how and when to use them most effectively is very “muddled”. Huge disparities in equitable access to address.
