Oof! I'd forgotten how GREAT the original intro for Sonic CD looked! The Sega CD (like the Mega Drive/Genesis) could only display 64 colors at a time max, so this cutscene must have been meticulously optimized by hand frame by frame. OK! Happy to find that clip IS authentically sourced from the Sega CD game. The intro was heavily compressed video (tho still beautiful!) but the ending cinematics were finished by hand and are some of the best pixel art cinematics ever!https://youtu.be/7IQTEnSbATI

This isn't the original from the Sega CD. It was a full FMV animation, not pixel art. This is beautiful tho.
