A quick test to see if someone has an IQ above room temperature is to ask if they would pay Mike Williams $20M per year.

Marty Schottenheimer intentionally got himself fired. That one isn't entirely on Spanos.

Spanos is the same guy that fired Marty Schottenheimer after the best season in franchise history. He isn't capable of learning.

Keeping Staley is far more defensible than keeping Telesco.

Agree, but that head coaching budget may not be on Tommy. Who knows what he given to work with...I know the Spanos family is too cheap and I think they retain Staley....sadly.

John Spanos overseeing football ops has been an unmitigated disaster for a decade now. It's time for him to step down.

If anyone needs me, I'll be unsubscribing from all football podcasts because I never want to hear this game discussed.

Getting fired for losing a playoff game when you had no business making the playoffs with such an injured roster would be pretty rough.
3
It would be cool if the officials would consider calling holding and false start penalties when they happen on this drive, but that's probably too much to ask.

Bosa needs to maintain his composure, but I get how it would be upsetting to constantly get held and never have it called.

It wouldn't be a proper Chargers collapse without one of the scores they allow being a result of a blown call.
2
Not only do they miss the false start, they then penalize Bosa for being upset about the obvious missed call.

Win or lose, it's still amazing the Chargers are even here after what they've fought through. And true to form, if you were going to write how the Jags could come back from down 27, it would probably include losing your LT and top CB.

You'd think I'd be numb after decades of Chargers football, but I'll be damned if they aren't still taking years off my life tonight.

I picked the Jags to win this game and honestly thought they'd do it easily, but goodness would this be a brutal way for the Chargers to lose.
