Yes! If any of your subscriptions have moved over, you’ll see a message directly in your Subscriptions tab (on both mobile and desktop) letting you know about the update with a link to learn more.

Why is it not optional? I now have huge amount of subscriptions to very old channels, because it turns out i was still somehow subscribed to them? Since when is youtube and youtube gaming not the same youtube, YouTube?

This is part of our preparations to sunset the YouTube Gaming app–your gaming subscriptions have been automatically moved over to main YouTube. You should see a notification in your Subs feed about it. Go here to unsubscribe from any channels: http://youtube.com/subscription_manager …

The subscriptions that showed up today are gaming channels I was subscribed to way before YT Gaming even was a thing. I have unsubscribed from those channels over the years using "main" YT. Why are there subscriptions independent from "main" YT?

Now I'm confused - it's the APP that's closing not /gaming?
I have never used any other app than "main" youtube, how are there subscriptions on my gaming app I have never used?
