I think the scam of ranked voting needs to be discarded. The system of getting the most votes works just fine.

So you are okay when there are say 4 candidates, and 1 gets the most but just 26% of the vote, he/she wins? Not even sure that was in play before ranked choice in SF.

Ranked choice is the reason Boudin got elected. And Melgar. And Chan. Back to the old fashioned way — most votes wins. If not a runoff.
