Ok, I watched the open session, disagree with your assessment. You do know that other suits have already been filed before the BoS approved the Hastings settlement? The Sups wanted Hastings to get the Mayor to commit to more hotel rooms for the homeless, i.e. do their jobs
“The Sups wanted Hastings to get the Mayor to commit to more hotel rooms for the homeless” - yes, part of what I mean by deeper commitments to relief, i.e., implementation of legislation already passed by the Board, Helping people off the street and into shelter.
If litigation *is* the path, then settlement should include more relief than what the City (or Hastings, for that matter) got. Instead, you see people experiencing homelessness pushed from the east side of Van Ness to the west into District 5. A pointless sidewalk shuffle.
