    I am sure the lock bravely resisted - but as always with enough time there is no lock you cannot break. All in all the third bike which was stolen from me (2x in Austria/Vienna, and now this one in Dublin... at least i was insured in Austria)

    I recently updated Get-PE in PowerShellArsenal to parse out the debug directory so that PDB strings can be extracted programmatically. I did it because needed to confirm the absence of debug strings as one of many post-build OPSEC checks. Dude is master operator. 😍

    The new version of UIforETW (according to Win10's file picker) is 38,616 KB. The old version (according to github's release page) is 37.7 MB. It annoys me that in order to tell which is bigger I have to pull out a calculator and multiply or divide by 1,024

    Is there a way to make a window think it has focus when it doesn't? I'm trying to test two active windows, but they don't run at full speed without focus, and when one has focus the other slows down. Or solution to this UE4 issue.

    My colourised and restored photo showing the removal of tram tracks on Lord Edward St. in Dublin. Dublin United Tramways Co. had 137 trams running routes which totaled over 32 miles but with the growth of car transportation in the 1920s, the last tram in City ran in 1949.

    Anybody know how I can use the Microsoft DIA functions (for resolving callstack names via PDB files) on a machine where Visual Studio is not installed and the user doesn't have admin rights? I'm getting "CLASSNOTREQ" errors on some machines. (I hate this COM bullshit)

    WinAPI question: I can make GetOpenFileName() modal to a *window* by setting hwndOwner, but what's the best way of making it modal to the *application*? Should I intercept WM_ACTIVATE to prevent other windows from activating?
