I can't believe our policy is literally "crash the Russian economy, hope the current gov disappears, then by magic something better comes along and leaves Ukraine." This war has shown how much people rely on emotion rather than reason, even among those who I thought knew better.

Gender ideology collapses in five minutes if you’re allowed to laugh at it. There’s rarely been a set of beliefs that has been so fragile, and has so required a total regime of censorship to prop it up.

The entire strategy of the government of Ukraine revolves around bringing the West into a larger war. One can sympathize with them, but they're the least reliable source of information in the world right now.

Elon Musk takes over Twitter. He's a billionaire who doesn't even have a Master's degree. Is that who we are going to trust with the future of our democracy?

Muslims in Montgomery County protesting against LGBT books in school. The other side appears all white, mostly women. Selling immigrants on hating liberals would be the easiest thing in the world to do if conservatives had a real interest in winning.

Amazing the extent to which modern liberalism has just completely given up on persuasion. Everything has to be truth boards, safety commissions, speech codes, judicial fiat. Complete freak out every time they don’t get their way. And screeching about “democracy” the whole time!

A black woman worked for the gym Equinox. The company fires her, says she was late 47 times in 10 months. She says she was fired for being black. A jury just awarded her $11.25 million. nytimes.com/2023/05/26/nyr

One Fox News segment has done more to discredit the military in the eyes of the demographic that supports it than twenty years of incompetence and failure in the Middle East.

A guy gets arrested 40 times, how many people’s lives has he made miserable? How often is someone arrested in a major city when making a disturbance, 1 out of 50 times? 100? It boggles the mind the extent to which we let a few worthless individuals ruin everything.

The Disinformation Governance Board has been suspended. Nina Jankowicz has resigned. Political scientists have been asking “can anything be so cringe it embarrasses Democrats?” Thanks to Nina Jankowicz, we have an answer.

Why care about merit? What harm is there in affirmative action programs that reward the less qualified? Here's the story of the Martin Luther King Jr/Drew Medical Center (King/Drew) in Los Angeles, which operated from 1972 to 2007. Or as patients called, it "Killer King." 🧵

Twitter pulls out of "voluntary" agreement with EU on fighting disinformation. European Union commissioner: "You can run but you can't hide." The arrogance of these people. They build nothing, contribute nothing to society, feel entitled to rule the world.

Black crime was the reason they originally got rid of comments in newspapers of major cities. It’s basically all people wanted to talk about. With free speech it’s happened on Twitter too. People don’t like cities being wastelands. Maybe we should solve that problem.

Appropriate western leaders are socially distancing outside while they're all vaccinated for their G7 photo. They perfectly represent what western politics have become. Safetyism, hypocrisy and low IQ virtue signalling

NYC had a test for teachers. Whites passed at a higher rate than minorities. Now the city has set aside over $1.8 billion to pay failed applicants One woman failed 10 times. When she heard about the lawsuit, she felt vindicated because she learned the test was the problem.

Jordan Neely kidnapped and dragged a 7 year-old girl down the street and got sentenced to 4 months in jail. How does this happen? Contrary to what liberals think, it's really hard to end up in jail. The people there are generally scum of the earth. And so are many not in jail.

Media criticism isn’t always fair, but their lies about violence in this country are truly outrageous. Blacks are overwhelmingly the perpetrators of interracial violence, not its victims. This isn’t one of those things you need fancy stats or much sophistication to understand.

RIP Hungarian democracy. They voted for the guy who took positions favored by the public in his country instead of those supported by the State Dep and international NGOs. We’re going to need to step up and fund more political science. Someone will have to track the decline.

In a discussion over affirmative action, Sotomayor ironically shows she doesn't know the basic difference between "de facto" and "de jure." It's not a slip of the tongue, they go back and forth, Alito tries to correct her and she proceeds to make the same mistake.

Imagine what a nice guy Tucker must be for them to write a ten million word series on how bad he is and not to find even a single alleged case of “racism,” etc. in his personal dealings with people. We know how low the standards of the press are for this sort of thing.

There needs to be a thread on the Afghanistan withdrawal. People who support withdrawal but don't like how it's done have no better option, and it's this attitude that leads to forever war. They expect competence when the entire lesson of the war is the US is not competent! 1/n

Jordan Neely's known victims so far: 7 year-old woman, 64 year-old woman. Interesting how despite his "mental illness" that supposedly made him not responsible for his actions, he always found the weakest and most vulnerable to pick on. He finally found a fair fight.

You’ve got to hand it for Jordan Neely. These types often have a long criminal record. They rarely also have a long Reddit paper trail of them terrorizing a city. Leftists sure known how to pick their martyrs.

George Soros on his political activity: "black people in the US are five times as likely to be sent to jail as white people. That is an injustice that undermines our democracy." He wants equal incarceration rates despite massive crime differences. He's either stupid or evil.

Wealthy and successful elites complaining about how déclassé their service employees are when they obviously intend no harm is one of those things that is awful to see, but you need to see it anyway to understand our culture.

Is George Soros evil? You decide. One of the DAs he supported is Pamela Price of Alameda County. A man killed three people in 2008. She gave him one charge of voluntary manslaughter, had him apologize, and then dropped the charges for the other two people.

American foreign policy elite is in no position to lecture India. They complain most loudly about China and Russia, but India is a separate and autonomous source of power in the word and its emergence as a global actor is starting to cause them discomfort.

15 years ago, Iraq was the most important country in the world to us. Hawks warned we ignored what happened there at our peril. Today it tears itself apart and nobody notices. Which countries we choose to care about is not based on objective interest, it's all political.

Hundreds of more Twitter employees have resigned. More and more of them leave, and the website is still working. This seems to be proving Elon Musk completely correct in thinking they were unnecessary. The only part of the website that appears to have declined is censorship.

Jews having a favorable of -40 for Evangelical Christians while Evangelical Christians are +39 towards Jews will never stop being funny. Where these people live and given their SES, they probably have little direct experience and only know Jews as comic book heroes on Fox News.

I just ran the numbers, and it's really shocking. You can see the democratic decline in a global context. It's hard to explain to non-political scientists how bad this is. I'm having to rewrite the syllabus and think about how to communicate what's happening to my students.

The Salman Rushdie news is not nearly as big as it would’ve been even a few years ago. Elite consensus now being “actually, free speech sort of sucks and is racist” doesn’t really create much room for outrage.

Ukraine is *NOW* ready for discussions about adopting neutral status. Many of us were saying that was exactly what they should have done before the war. It's what they should have done 5 years ago. But many Americans cheered senseless destruction to get to the same place. Shame.

The massive dishonesty of presenting violence in America as a "white" or "right wing" phenomenon boggles the mind. It's like someone telling you the NBA is dominated by Asians. You don't even know where to begin.

Reading about DeSantis gives me a feeling I’ve never had about a politician before. Like there are things that I hate, along with half the country, and he’s actually doing something about them. This shouldn’t be a once-in-a-lifetime feeling, but it is.

Why being able to shoot looters and criminals is a necessity for public order. It’s not just about protecting the individual’s properties, but offing a few of these thugs would make it possible to actually have stores and jobs in the community. Other benefits too.

Twitter has made a difference. I see a backing off of the lies liberals used to tell. Now it's "yes, blacks kill more whites than vice versa, but put it in perspective." They used to pretend blacks should fear whites. This is how you get progress, you burst the craziest claims.
