The USMCA looks to be the trade pact formerly known as NAFTA plus 10-20%. Hope it becomes a precedent for TPP. I suggest the US-Pacific Trade Agreement (USPTA). What matters is that the US joins it; doing so would bolster our strategic position vis-a-vis China and our economy.

No more multi-lateral deals. This is a neighborhood deal and it should stop there. The balance needs to be bi-lateral deals. One country, one vote doesn’t work.

shh. Trumpers think this NAFTA thing is a big win. I heard that the US as of today has a trade surplus with Canada. Can you believe that?

NAFTA rebranding reminds me of when Ford put a new skin on its Falcon compact car chassis back in the mid-'60s and called it . hemmings.com/blog/2011/12/1

It took the genius of Trump to show everyone how to get rid of NAFTA. Change the name! Now , no NAFTA. See, genius.

Why would we scrap TPP11 which is well on it's way and add back in provision that only benefit the US on top of a worthless name change for 1 country's vanity.

Must we always give the U.S. top billing in everything. It really makes us hate the U.S. all the more.

The US should not have pulled out of talks and there is no reason to put US name on a multinational trade agreement as a reason to join it. USTPA is really a vainglorious way to say US should be part of TPP and get national bragging rights.

You were completely wrong about NAFTA. You owe the president a very public apology.
