Please, I meant using his skills as an actor to elicit an emotional response in his audience. To motivate them to go to the polls in massive numbers and "Vote the bums out!"

DeNiro connected to the audience at the Tonys and received a standing ovation. Different strokes. Not everyone responds as an academic. He connected to the frustrated feelings of those attending.

I am an academic and I connected totally with DeNiro's sentiment. He said out loud what hundreds of millions feel--in America and abroad.

When dealing with anti-intellectual barbarians you cannot reason with them like they are rational people. Sometimes the only response to a person like that is to get up in their face and tell them where to go. Reasoning with a Trumplodite is like mud wrestling a pig.
