For a few yrs now, I've had the privilege of covering the South for the NYT w/ @alanblinder : supercomputer, counselor, Waffle House superfan, mensch. He's moving on to cover college sports for the NYT. One of our era's great newshounds tackling a great beat. But gonna miss him.
