And I'd get in the bathroom. Small, enclosed rooms closer to the interior of a building are safer. During Cat 4 Hurricane Hugo in SC in 1989, some people survived by huddling in their bathtubs.

It's hard to understand the power of sustained winds like this that last for hours unless you have seen the eye of a hurricane. It's a rough ride. Be safe

Absolutely we rode through hurricane ike in Galveston tx. I have much more respect for Mother Nature now and forever. Very scary going through a cat 3. Can’t imagine this.
