A 1 in 50 chance of dying isn't great, Richard!

Neither is the statistical certainty that if half of a 300 million populace gets sick with a 2% mortality illness, three million people will die. But we do need balance. The vast, vast majority are going to make it and we aren’t headed for a post-apocalyptic scenario.
