    Outstanding performance by in his first global championships. Qualifies for 1500m semi-final and then runs 3:35.84, his second fastest time ever. Plenty of athletics finals and honours to come for Andrew.

    I was very saddened to hear of Norman’s death. Norman was far ahead of others in the ultrarunning world with his clear vision for ultrarunning to be included in the Olympic Games. A truly genuine man who always put athletes first. R.I.P.

    I'll be voting in the Dáil against the proposal to further extend the extraordinary Gov powers to shut down sections, or all, of our society & economy. The use and abuse of these powers has been particularly ruinous to our tourism & aviation sectors, including Shannon Airport. 1
