Dawkins is too modest to mention that Pinker encourages those who would improve their writing to begin with "delight in the best work of the masters and a desire to approach their excellence", and that the first 'master' he quotes as an example is none other than Richard Dawkins.
Finished @SAPinker’s Sense of Style. His stand against the fatuous rule that proscribes “this”, & prescribes “this,” delights me.
Moved on to @MattWRidley’s Evolution of Everything. Brilliant writer, 200% right on science, I forlornly hope his Brexit stance turns out right too

Matt Ridley’s stance on finance when a director of Northern Rock didn’t exactly do them or us a lot of good. So I’m less than convinced by his Brexit stance. And I bet anyone who had to queue to get their own money out of his failing bank thinks the same.
