      If you think Stowe is a “top school” then have a look at it’s A-level results. That explains why it’s not getting kids into Oxbridge.

          A word of caution... if it’s Buckinghamshire these will largely be Grammar schools and selective drawing kids from out of area.. it’s still not a good position for him though mind...

          It’s the average for the local authority so it’s everyone at state schools. Including the ones who don’t get into the grammars obviously.

          A privately educated ex-boyfriend of mine used to say that you don’t pay for the grades (he said his teachers had made them copy off the board all day!)but you pay for the facilities, experiences, status and most importantly ‘connections’. This demonstrates that quite nicely..
