The Rams are super, super tight against the cap right now, when you include money for draft picks. They could really help themselves by, for instance, signing Lamarcus Joyner to a new deal instead of his $11.3-million tag tender.

I wouldn't get my nose too bent about anything Robert Quinn said. Sounded to me like the "suffocating" comment was related to living out here. He's a smart guy. If he wanted to rip the Rams, he could have done it.

FYI on Brandin Cooks and : He's from California. His agent is Jared Goff's agent. Sense is the have a good shot at re-signing him long term.

Cooks currently is set to play out the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, at approximately $8.5 million, and could be a free agent after this coming season. He's a native of Stockton.

Rams have made their move for a receiver...and it is Brandin Cooks. Former Saints/Patriots receiver has put up three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and 27 touchdowns in 58 regular-season games.
