    We have to ask why we have so much violence in the US. There were 689 mass shootings in the US in 2021-almost 2 per day- up from 417 in 2019. A different kind of pandemic.

    This is a large camp for Syrian refugees-almost forgotten in the shadow of Ukraine. I visited this camp more than 6 years ago and refugees still live there hoping and praying they can someday return home. The world’s 80 mm+ refugees are the ‘least of these’ Jesus spoke of.

    Bizarre moral absurdity - Russia can kill people at will within Ukraine’s borders but killing people a mile over the border in Poland or Romania would trigger a NATO military response. Different human lives-different value.
