What do you and your ilk not understand about the precautionary principle? We should all be erring on the side of caution, especially those of us running a state with one of the most elderly and infirm populations. This doesn't seem that hard to me.

Not hard at all. The precautionary principle is on full display: the precaution is against central planning, increasing control of government over our lives, vaguely or outright unconstitutional power grabs by state governors...pretty much against a New Deal 2.0.
